Peer-Helper Training
Over the years, Relais Expert-Conseil has differed from other traditional EAPF providers by its ability to conduct complex mandates using an equal-party approach, where all the members of the company contribute to the better-being of the employees. Our training experience with peer-helpers has refined itself:
- By working in concert with the Network of Social Delegates of the FTQ. We have implemented many training, coaching and collaborative mandates.
- Through out training of the entire Network of Canadian Social Delegates of Air Canada invested in the Employee (and their family) Assistance Program.
- By conducting many training sessions for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW). These training sessions have lead to new training programs within their Union.
- Training of peer-helpers in order to provide help in the implementation of a new EAPF program – Air Canada & IAMAW (pan-Canadian training from Halifax to Vancouver).
- Training in the detection of mental health problems in the workplace: (peer-helpers – Bombardier Aerospace).
- Training on psychosocial risks : Washington, Placid Harbour (American Central Union of the IAMAW).
- Training on psychosocial risks in the workplace : Georges Meany University – Washington (Unionized Peer-Helper Program ).
- Training on the prevention of relapse for the Canadian Network of Regional Coordinators of Air Canada
- Training for the TCA-Bombardier (EAPF) and the Fonds de solidarité FTQ (EAPF) joint committees.
In closing, Mr. Luc Chabot, President & CEO of Relais Expert-Conseil, was trained at the Université d’Annecy and in Cape Town, South Africa, by the International Labour Organization (ILO – United Nations Agency) in order to become SOLVE director (project on psychosocial micro-trainings in the workplace).
