The problems associated with addiction in the workplace are of prime concern today.  The available statistics concerning addiction are alarming.  To name a few, Gallup's survey of 1000 employees indicates that 43% of respondents reported having seen a work colleague who was intoxicasted and 17% had witnessed or heard of the use of illic in the workplace.

Intoxication at work or at home is associated with problems at work leading to a decrease in productivity, an unpleasant work atmosphere as well as an increased risk of accidents (related to a decrease in concentration and mnemonic, perceptual and judgemental abilities 


Topics

Addictions to alcohol, illicit drugs, medication, compulsive grambling and internet are problems that will be discussed during the training sessions relating to addiction problems.

The material will be discussed by taking into account the reality of the workplace and the specific needs of the company.  Faced with the reality of addiction in the workplace, the themes that are explored relate primarily to:
